#1200 lights Foster Care Campaign

Fiona Bruce is supporting the CANW (Child Action North West) campaign to highlight the need for more foster carers in the North West saying "There is no more precious gift you can give a child than family."

On Friday 20th November at 8.30pm some of the North West’s best loved buildings will turn out their lights for one minute to raise awareness of the need for more foster carers in the region.

The symbolic switch off is part of 1200 Lights, a campaign by Lancashire children’s charity CANW to highlight the fact that 1200 extra foster care families are needed in the North West this year alone – more than in any other region of the country.

The Blackpool Tower, The Liver Building, the Tower of Blackburn Cathedral, the intu Trafford Centre and Lancashire County Cricket Club’s historic Pavilion at Emirates Old Trafford are just a few of the venues who’ll be taking part.

(The video just explains a little more about 1200 Lights and its aim of encouraging more people to become foster carers, so of course, the more people who see it, the better!)
